What’s Going On? Culture. In this work, DaNice shows a historic poster of two members of the 1968 U.S. Olympic track team, who have won the silver and gold medals, with fists raised in defiance. While a family with three young children stand posed- See no evil. Speak no evil. Hear no evil – juxtaposed to a rapper, who wears the t-shirt of the beloved rapper Nipsey Hussle who was murdered tragically.
Artist Bio
DaNice D. Marshall was born in Boston, MA. Her art has been exhibited on out-of-home media such as Billboard Hope in Boston’s historic John Elliott Square in Roxbury and art galleries such as Intersect in St. Louis, MO. Most recently her work had a showing in New Art Gallery in Newton, MA. She lives outside of Boston with her husband Ben, and their dog.
