This year one of our Artists-in-Residence, Maddu Huacuja, will be leading an all-day retreat in Spanish entitled, “The Journey/El Viaje.”

“The Journey/El Viaje” will be an exploration of 6 immigrant Spanish-speaking women on their journey to the new land.
Our community partner, Heartwell Institute, based in Worcester, MA, is hosting the event. Heartwell has long served as a host for interventions by staff of the Transformative Action Project, an initiative of Violence Transformed. The retreat will be led in collaboration with the Latino Education Institute at Worcester State University.
