Artist Statement
I have been working on portraits and using materials I have around the house since I cannot get to my studio. Some are in response to “George Floyd.” Others are “Black Lives Matter.” As a white grandmother of a black/ Hispanic grandson in the time of pandemic, I seek ways to stand up safely.
