Healing the Earth
Healing of the Earth is still maintained in some African cultures. Literally it translates as ‘Calming or Cooling the Earth.’ The ritual of Healing the Earth pacifies unrest on the land. Violence leads to spilling of blood and that makes the Earth hot which is a metaphor for anger.
