Artist Statement
I made this painting of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy because I was so moved by his heroism and bravery. His selfless actions motivated many of the people of Ukraine to stand by him and their country. Watching the Russians kill these people and destroy their country was utterly devastating. I had to do something to help. Immediately the painting was made, I auctioned it on Instagram and with my partner, we sold prints of the painting to raise money for Save the Children Ukraine. To date we have raised approximately $5,000.
