COVID-19 Update for Exhibiting Artists at Lesley University

[siteorigin_widget class=”SiteOrigin_Widget_Image_Widget”][/siteorigin_widget]

Dear Artist,

As you know, things are changing on a daily basis with respect to Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the scheduling, rescheduling and/or outright cancellng of particular events. At Violence Transformed, we are committed to doing what needs to be done vis a vis the public health needs and safety of our client communities, and are trying our best to keep our participating artists up to date. Things do seem to be changing on a daily basis, so please check our website often and feel free to be in touch with us with your questions and concerns.

Today we learned that Lesley University is closing its campus —and all of its galleries— to both students and the general public. This means that the Marran Gallery, home to our Lesley University/Violence Transformed 2020 Future of the Past exhibit “Unfinished Business: The Complicated History of Voting Rights in America,” is now closed and will remain closed through the month of March. We are so sorry to be informing you of this development as we view your work as compelling and important, and want to make sure that it is seen by others.

Right now, the best way for people to see your work is to see it on line HEREWe will be posting more updates on that webpage to enhance your visibility to audiences, so please re-connect soon!

As of now, the date for picking up your work remains March 30, 2020. That, too, could change. We will keep you posted as Lesley University makes decisions going forward.

In terms of rescheduling the exhibit, it is unlikely to occur before late-summer or fall. Please let us know if you would be willing to have your work included once again, should we have the opportunity to reschedule.

Thank you for your understanding …. and thank you so very much for your work.

Best Regards,
